Join us for first in a three-part series of films set in Paris. Vincente Minnelli's charming 1958 musical, which won a best-picture Oscar, starts the fun. The movie comes complete with songs by Alan Jay Lerner, music by Frederick Lowe and stars Leslie Caron and Louis Jourdan as friends who become more. Maurice Chevalier adds panache. It's wonderful to welcome a new dog to the family but building a foundation to keep Fido friendly, Rover a push-over, and Rosie to a mosey, does takes work. Mehndi, also known as henna tattoo, is a traditional Middle Eastern art used to adorn the body for weddings and other special celebrations. Local resident Jamilah, of Jamilah Henna Creations, will talk about the cultural significance of henna designs and demonstrate the ancient art of Mehndi. For teens and adults.
