Fiction FinalistsNational Book Award finalists in the fiction category include well-known and new authors. The five nominees are The Lazarus Project by Bosnian author Aleksandar Hemon, Telex from Cuba, Rachel Kushner's debut novel, Shadow Country by Peter Matthiessen, a founder of the Paris Review, Home, by Marilynne Robinson, who won a Pulitzer Prize for her 2004 novel “Gilead”; and The End, a first novel by Salvatore Scibona.
