Connecticut Commemorates the American Civil War

Sesquicentennial Commemoration
April 12, 2011 marks the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the American Civil War. Organizations and institutions around our state will be offering forums, events, and programs to help remind us of the toll the war took on our nation and our state, as brother was pitted against brother.

Click here to visit our state's Civil War Commemoration site for information about statewide events.  Locally, the library will host several events with a Civil War theme; click here to visit our online events calendar.
