About Take Your Child to the Library Day
Take Your Child to the Library Day is a Connecticut-grown, grass-roots project dreamed up in 2012 by Nadine Lipman, Children's Services Librarian at the Waterford (CT) Public Library. Now it's second year, this annual event created by Lipman and Caitlin Augusta (Stratford Library Association), has become a national campaign dedicated to bringing more children into their local libraries. As of January 16, 2013, 229 libraries (33 states, 3 countries, 1 province, and 1 school library) had signed on to participate.
